Can you believe it is August???

"Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened." — Dr. Seuss

Happy Friday!

Are you shocked? I'm shocked!!!

As we wind down summer break and shift into a new season of rhythms, I want to gently remind you… Back to school often means pouring into everyone else and sometimes unnecessary chaos. Lets reframe the chaos of back to school as an opportunity to nourish ourselves and our family in a different way. With all the knowledge you have been learning about ingredients, fueling through food and small habits, we have an opportunity to put it into action this school year.

As the backpacks come back out or the boxes for packing our college kiddos (Share this email with your college kids. They need to implement some of these things too) and the rhythms start to shift, let's ease into this next season—gently and intentionally. Whether your kids are heading off to school or you're just feeling that collective shift in energy, now is a perfect moment to reset from a place of peace.

Ease Into the Routine – 3 Holistic Reset Tips:

  1. Establish a simple morning rhythm – 10 more mins of calm in the morning > chaos.
  2. Prep with intention, not perfection – Sunday or Monday prep moments (cut veggies, boil eggs, wash fruit).
  3. Ground your home energy – soft music, a diffuser, a corner for quiet after school.

Snack Swaps + Meal Prep That Nourishes

Invite your kids in! Let them wash fruit, prep energy bites, or help plan lunch. 💫
Here are a few easy swaps to kick the junk to the curb:

  • 🍓 Gushers → Freeze-dried strawberries or Soley bites (so good)
  • 🍪 Oreos → Almond flour cookies or Hu brand
  • 🧃 Juice pouches → Fruit-infused water or Spindrift

👉 Read ingredients, not marketing—those bold claims on the front don’t always tell the truth.

Don’t Skip Breakfast – Brain Fuel Matters

Your focus and your child’s focus, energy, and mood all start here. Simple ideas to fuel the morning:

  • Overnight oats (recipe below)
  • Smoothies (make sure to have protein, fiber, fat)
  • Protein shake
  • Scrambled eggs + avocado toast
  • Even a banana and nut butter is better than nothing!

Reflect + Empower

Your quiet efforts matter.
Packing a snack. Saying no to dyed cereal. Choosing filtered water.
These aren’t little things—they’re things that add up to better wellness. 💛

Podcast Episode:

Tune in to hear more about easing back in to our fall schedules. I love the comments I received about this episode thanking me for the reminder to continue on with the healthy habits and shifting our mindset to create ease.

This week’s Insta carousel helps you shop by color—because eating seasonally can be fun and simple.

🥤 Protein Powder Scoop:

Not all powders are created equal! This week’s Insta post breaks it down:
👉 Check it out
Look for minimal ingredients, organic when possible, and steer clear of gums and dyes. I love Just Ingredients and Truvani

Here’s the scoop:

  • Protein can support your energy, blood sugar, and lean muscle (especially during peri + menopause!)
  • But not all powders are created equal—some are full of gums, artificial sweeteners, and mystery ingredients. 😬
  • I recommend starting with clean, simple brands like Just Ingredients or Truvani. Look for ones that are organic, minimal-ingredient, and don’t make your gut feel like a balloon 🎈

Recipe: Banana Nut Overnight Oats using Truvani Powder

Here's How To Make It

Serves 1 - Prep Time: 5 Minutes + overnight

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 scoop Truvani Chocolate Protein Powder (we also like vanilla)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ cup plain yogurt (we use Organic Greek)
  • 1¼ cups almond or coconut milk
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  • Place all of the ingredients in a jar and mix well to combine. Place in the refrigerator overnight to set.
  • To serve, mix the oats and top with additional banana slices, walnuts or coconut flakes. Enjoy!

Reminder!

Put yourself on the to-do list. Even if it’s just for 5 minutes of stillness, movement, or nourishment… you’re worthy of that time. Continue to choose wellness in small, powerful ways.

As always, I’m cheering for you.

Big love,
Robin 💛🌿

Happy Friday Mama, Have you ever wondered why so many people are now "sensitive" (not celiac) to gluten? Is it really the gluten, just the gluten or could it also be something else? The little bumps on our (me and my daughter) arms and upper shoulders would come and go. The gut issues, the autoimmune issues. At first, I thought: Welp, gluten sensitivity. Time to cut it out. But something didn’t sit right. So on my health journey I dug deeper (as us mamas tend to do when our gut says, “This...
