Halloween just hits different in this season of life, doesn’t it?

Hey Reader,

Halloween rolled around this year, and I felt this tug—a little bittersweet, a little nostalgic.

As I am learning to "be" in this new chapter tonight is a reminder that things are different. The once busy days of girls dressing up, getting costumes, making the fun apps and having them here getting ready is no longer. This year, it’s quieter, and honestly, it’s a little strange. I’m finding myself missing the chaos, the excitement, and those exhausted-but-happy faces at the end of it all.

Halloween just looks… different now. There’s a bit of space where that fullness used to be, and I’m learning to sit with it, even when it feels a little empty. I’m letting myself feel it all—the nostalgia, the emptiness, even the peace that comes with a quieter evening.

I now look forward to pics of their costumes and the stories they will tell me (well the ones they will share LOL).

I spent a little extra time last night reflecting on what’s coming next, the new traditions I can create in this season of life. I thought if I feel this way, there is probably someone else in the community feeling the same.

For any of you who also feel a little out of sorts, know that I get it, and it’s okay to feel all the things. We’re in this together, and it’s a journey of grace, one day at a time.

How’s Halloween been feeling for you this year? Different, too? Hit Reply- I'd love to hear.

~much love, Rob

Happy Friday Reader, It was an exciting week on the Food Front! On January 15, 2025, the FDA officially banned Red Dye No. 3 (erythrosine) from the nation's food supply! This synthetic dye, derived from petroleum, has been used in foods and drinks to create that bright cherry-red color since 1907. However, the FDA cited potential cancer risks as the reason for the ban, specifically linking the dye to cancer in laboratory animals. Food brands will have until January 2027 and Medication...
